June First Friday Pay-What-You-Can Open House featuring artist Keisha Finnie

Join the Stevens & Smith Center on Friday, June 5, from 5pm-7pm for our First Friday Pay-What-You-Can Open House! Each First Friday, the Center opens its doors to the public for a chance to explore its 16 galleries, immersive media experiences, and to meet the artists involved. This Friday, 5-7pm, meet local artist and featured muralist Keisha Finnie. Her mural is on view in the Center’s Second Founding Gallery, which examines the fight for civil rights and equality from the 19th century to the present. Stop by for a close look as Keisha shares her process and journey. She will also have merchandise for sale, which includes t-shirts, stickers, pottery, switch plates, and hats.

Keisha Finnie is a prominent Lancaster-based artist and advocate who uses her vibrant art to explore her artistic and personal evolution as a woman of color, emphasizing personal experiences and observations. Her work has been featured in local magazines: Blk Voices, Susquehanna Style, and Fine Living. Her work can be viewed on many different scales, including canvas, musical  instruments, restaurants, and hospitals around Lancaster.
